christmas 2012.

hi there,
christmas was AMAZING this year! hope everyone had a great holiday as well.
in this post are a few pictures of our cruise that i promised.
we went the week before christmas and had a lot of fun!
but...Aaron and I missed his family a lot.
luckily they sent us pictures of their cute faces. love you guys!
about the cruise:
it felt like a second honeymoon for Aaron and I, and we are very thankful for my awesome mom who made this trip possible. we sure do love her, she does so much for us.
we cruised on the Ruby Princess with Princess Cruises, and loved it. i highly recommend their cruise line. this cruise stopped in the bahamas, st. thomas, st. maarten, and turks & caicos during the day. we played on the beach, snorkeled, swam with stingrays, and ate as much as our little hearts desired. we would get back on board where harold was our waiter every night for dinner. i'd order 2-3 desserts, and Aaron would order 2 entrees. after dinner we'd see a show or watch a movie under the stars on the top deck of the ship. after that we may or may not have hit the buffet before bed...
on days at sea we would lay by the pool and order (non-alcoholic) drinks like pina coladas, strawberry daiquiris, tropical blends, and other sorts of mocktails. soooo yummy.
it was such a relaxing vacation, and we were in need of some relaxing after our last semester.
aaron got a lot more tan than i did, but hey, at least i got some color. (i'm not complaining)

we're back!

hello everyone,
aaron and i (plus my awesome family) are back in town after soaking up some serious sun.
we went on a cruise to:
st. thomas
st. maarten
& turks and caicos

so fun!
now we are back to a white christmas!
i will post a lot more pictures soon, i promise.
today and tomorrow may or may not be super busy.

tragedy.

today my heart goes out to all the families who lost a loved one in the shooting this morning in Connecticut.
everyone should hold each other tighter and tell each other "i love you" more often, because you never know when something terrible like this could happen.
it makes me extremely angry especially because of the little children involved.
i can't imagine what those parents are going through.
i pray they will be comforted that they will see their little ones again someday.

yes, i am done with finals, time to celebrate!

so last night Aaron and I could not bring ourselves to study so we just went to dinner, and came home and played "On a scale of 1-10 how much do you....?" We would ask things like, "On a scale of 1-10 how much do you hate finals?" "10." (and so on, you get the picture.) this game was waaay more fun than actually studying.
i was just too burned out to continue studying. but...
i took my last exam today and
i am totally done with finals...
hooray!
it is time to celebrate...looks like we'll probably be going to dinner and seeing The Hobbit tonight at midnight! What's new? :) We love seeing new movies.
Saturday is where we really start to celebrate.
guess where we're going!
i'm super excited.

hello everyone, yes i know most people hate mondays...
i do too, but it's currently snowing right now outside my window and it makes me happy.
i love the snow and winter, i really do.

last day of classes.

the last day of the semester has arrived.
no more papers, no more class.
next week i will take my finals and be off to vacation with my awesome family!
i am SO excited.
today i just wanted to share a picture that i found recently of my (sexy) husband and i the summer we first met.
it was such a great summer. going on dates, the 4th of july, staying out late, going to seven peaks/other pools, late night beto's runs, meeting aaron's friends, and falling in love really quickly.
he has a henna tattoo of a transformer, and i have a lovely henna on my hand. (thus my awkwardly placed hand....it's to show my henna...)
i'm so grateful i met this man...i am one lucky girl. love you aaron.

sorry i haven't posted in a while, school has kept me SO BUSY...
but it's coming to a close for a little while. more posts to come.

hello all,
just wanted to say hi...this weekend has been crazy with everything from wrestling Aaron out in the snow to taking my third exam in Human Development.  i am sick (cold symptoms) from enjoying the snow too much. and yes, there is an igloo in my backyard.
hooray!
also, i can't wait for thanksgiving.
i need a break from school.
i like having fun too much. (doesn't everyone?)
anyways...
just wanted to say how thankful i am for where i live and the people i know.
i love my friends (& Aaron's friends) and family so much! they bring so much joy to my life.
but guess who gives me the greatest joy...
yep, my sweet husband.
i am so lucky to have him.
aaron's favorite phrase these past few days has been "you're a ___ " after i say (for example) "that's a lot of cheese" (on his food), and he'll say, "you're a lot of cheese." ha ha
reeeaaal mature, but i still adore him. he makes me laugh all the time.
