goodbye forever, little pink house.

today aaron and i did a photo shoot.
we had a lot of fun even though there were lots of bugs
and some boys smoking marijuana in the trees next to us.
interesting.
the shoot was vintage-like. i can't wait to see all of them.
i really enjoy just staring into aaron's eyes and smiling while our picture is taken. our photographer noticed that aaron lights up when i look at him and smile. his smile is the cutest. i love him.
after the shoot up in lehi we grabbed some del taco and drove to provo because i wanted one goodbye picture at our old place. we just recently moved, but wanted to remember that cute little home as being our first place together. (we're happy to be living in a place with air conditioning now.)
anyways, here are pictures. xoxo

anticipation.

hello! so basically i've been feeling a lot of anticipation these days.
would you like to know why?
first, watching the olympics gets me super nervous for team usa, even though we all know they're the best. i get especially nervous watching gymnastics. the anticipation of whether or not they will stick their dismount to get the gold is gonna kill me.
second, i'm waiting to hear back from multiple employers about a job. i haven't had a lot of work experience, but i've always been super responsible and i know i can be a great employee. i take care of myself and i like to look good. not a quality too many people have. if i can just get an interview i'm positive i could land the job. i'm much better in person than i am on paper. i love working with people.
and finally, tuesday i'm doing a photo shoot with my sexy husband. i'm styling it and my good friend starlie is the photographer. she is wonderful, i can't wait to see how they turn out. i will post them on here, don't worry.
and today is the 29th so i'd like to give a little shout out to my awesome friend angelique for it is her birthday! i love you to pieces.
xoxo

three trends for fall.

hello my fellow fashion lovers,
there are three trends i'm really excited to try this fall once i'm back at school.

1. metallic tip heels
  • you can find some similar ones on topshop.com
  • i'm also loving her pants...i don't know where to find them.

2. chunky scarf and wide-brim hat
  • keep wearing that oversized hat in the fall that you wore this summer to the pool or the beach by adding a scarf and jacket
  • you can find a similar hat at nordstrom.com and a similar scarf at H&M

3. deep red nail polish
  • try some by O.P.I. because i'm not sure what this one is called. don't wanna give you false info.
  • in all honesty i'm a sucker for the rich/dark colors on my nails all season

to see more things i'm obsessed with, follow me on pinterest. Spencer Rose Clark. thank you!

5 months of happiness, and more to come.

happy 5 month anniversary to aaron and i!
i thought it fitting to post something today, don't you?

here are my thoughts today:
i'm so glad that i married the best man in the world. i think that he and i are so perfect together. heavenly father knew i would need aaron, and blessed me with him. i love him so much.

i'm also glad i was married early in the year so i knew what spring wedding trends were to come about. also, i married before all of my friends so that i could have all the things i wanted and not be a copy cat. i had the perfect man, a beautiful lace dress and a hydrangea bouquet. that was my dream right there. i feel so blessed. it was the best day of my life. seriously. everything was perfect. i've always wanted a winter wedding. i'm not for the usual spring or summer wedding like everyone else (no offense). there's something about a fall/winter wedding that is sophisticated and romantic.

my goals for months to come: (mainly towards the new fall semester) to be more stylish, make new trends of my own, keep up on school work, and be a better wife. i'm so excited for school to start. is that weird? i'm excited to start learning in my new major (family life: human development). and to show off my unique style. i LOVE dressing for fall. summer is so hot and you just don't want any clothes on, ever. in fall and winter you can layer after layer and you'll be fine. fall brings cuter clothes for modest girls anyway!

anyways, i wish all of you the best. make some goals. go shopping. xoxo

bangs and katie holmes.

hello my fellow beauty lovers,
so basically i saw this cover and thought to myself, "since when was i on the cover of ELLE? oh false alarm." yes katie holmes has my haircut. seriously people, i've had this look forever so it should be called "spencer bangs". katie holmes looks smashing, i might add. props to looking skinny, beautiful and divorcing tom. he's gay and she knows it (thus real reason for divorce) and she'll tell everyone if he fights her for custody of suri. good work katie, we like strong women who use their knowledge for their own personal benefit.
anyways, back to bangs...some neighbor women have gone to my hair lady and asked for "spencer bangs" and even relatives. yes it's a really cute and timeless look. especially if you have a large forehead you want to hide. but bangs don't look good on everyone. they also require maintenance to look how they should. if you're the type who just showers and goes out with a wet head...no bangs for you. sorry. all it takes is a little round brushing with a blowdryer and some help from your straightener. for extra care you can carry around a small comb for touch ups during the day, i do.

fashion for kids.

hello to moms and future moms,
i direct this post to the moms because i know the dads usually aren't the ones picking out the cute clothes and dressing their children.
in all seriousness i am obsessed with children's clothes. if we ever go into a shoe store, i have to look at the tiny little grown-up shoe replicas. i especially love sperry's and vans. anyways, since i'm not a mom (and won't be for a little while longer) i can start making a board on pinterest of little kids' clothes that i'm in love with.

for a boy:
love the little green sperry-look-a-like shoes and blue scarf. i don't know exactly how practical that scarf is (remembering he's just a little boy) so it could be off within a minute. but...overall adorable. this is how i want my little man to look.

for a girl:
i love the belted sweater and button down with leggings and boots. this is pretty much a little version of what i wear. can't wait to dress up my little girl and hopefully she'll turn out to be a fashionista like her momma.

stores i love: h & m kids, mini boden, and gap.
hugs & kisses.

the sketchy motel trip.

hi guys,
just got back from a very short getaway with my husband. we went to park city, did some shopping, rode the alpine slide & alpine coaster, and went to dinner. spontaneously we decided to spend the night (but we're really poor so our best option was a motel). super sketchy. i've never stayed at a place like that before, but it was quite the experience. as soon as we stepped in, i felt like i was meeting someone for a drug deal or for something adulterous.(bad, i know). but it was somewhat clean and air conditioned so that was good. aaron and i watched some movies and enjoyed doing something together that we had never done before. that night i actually had a dream that the motel was haunted. as soon as i awoke i wanted to get the heck outta there.

my first blog! hooray!

hello friends,
welcome to my very first blog! i hope you will all enjoy it. i will be posting about things that inspire me, fashion (tips), and most of all, my beautiful life with my handsome husband aaron. in 10 days we will have been married 5 months. man how time flies. cherish those moments with the ones you love. write them down. so much has happened that i wish i had written down, so thus the reason for the blog.
love you guys. enjoy.

once upon a time....
i met a boy the summer after i graduated high school. his name is aaron. we met june 12th, 2011 at a singles ward (we were both visiting other wards) where our friends introduced us and we were instantly smitten with one another. we were together almost every day for a week before aaron went to visit family in missouri. before he left, he left me with a goodbye kiss. when he got back we spent every second we could together. i'll never forget the first time he told me he loved me. i probably had a million butterflies in my stomach. i was having the best summer of my life. during this time i had plans to attend FIT in new york city for school in the fall. those plans changed when we went on a romantic day-long date to salt lake and walked on the temple grounds. i knew i wanted to marry him, and by going to new york, that wouldn't happen. i made my decision to be happy with aaron, because this kind of happiness is eternal.

july 4th, 2011

four months later aaron proposed to me on my birthday (october 13th, 2011). he had set up a photoshoot for me with a well known photographer in utah for a birthday gift. i had no idea he'd be showing up, i thought we were meeting after for a romantic birthday dinner. towards the end of the shoot aaron walked through the door. i was so excited and confused when i saw him. he then told me he had something for me to wear. yes, it was a beautiful diamond ring. he told me he loved me and asked me to marry him, and before he was finished i kept saying "yes!" i was going to marry my best friend.

on february 17th, 2012 aaron and i were sealed in the mt. timpanogos temple. it was the happiest day of our lives to finally be married, and be with all our friends and family. together, we have the best friends and family. we are so blessed. my dress was all lace and custom fit. just what i had always dreamed it would be. our reception was beautiful, and because of our awesome wedding party, it really was a party! then we set off to our honeymoon in park city, but not before running under a tunnel of sparklers.
