welcome to my very first blog! i hope you will all enjoy it. i will be posting about things that inspire me, fashion (tips), and most of all, my beautiful life with my handsome husband aaron. in 10 days we will have been married 5 months. man how time flies. cherish those moments with the ones you love. write them down. so much has happened that i wish i had written down, so thus the reason for the blog.
love you guys. enjoy.
once upon a time....
i met a boy the summer after i graduated high school. his name is aaron. we met june 12th, 2011 at a singles ward (we were both visiting other wards) where our friends introduced us and we were instantly smitten with one another. we were together almost every day for a week before aaron went to visit family in missouri. before he left, he left me with a goodbye kiss. when he got back we spent every second we could together. i'll never forget the first time he told me he loved me. i probably had a million butterflies in my stomach. i was having the best summer of my life. during this time i had plans to attend FIT in new york city for school in the fall. those plans changed when we went on a romantic day-long date to salt lake and walked on the temple grounds. i knew i wanted to marry him, and by going to new york, that wouldn't happen. i made my decision to be happy with aaron, because this kind of happiness is eternal.
july 4th, 2011
four months later aaron proposed to me on my birthday (october 13th, 2011). he had set up a photoshoot for me with a well known photographer in utah for a birthday gift. i had no idea he'd be showing up, i thought we were meeting after for a romantic birthday dinner. towards the end of the shoot aaron walked through the door. i was so excited and confused when i saw him. he then told me he had something for me to wear. yes, it was a beautiful diamond ring. he told me he loved me and asked me to marry him, and before he was finished i kept saying "yes!" i was going to marry my best friend.
on february 17th, 2012 aaron and i were sealed in the mt. timpanogos temple. it was the happiest day of our lives to finally be married, and be with all our friends and family. together, we have the best friends and family. we are so blessed. my dress was all lace and custom fit. just what i had always dreamed it would be. our reception was beautiful, and because of our awesome wedding party, it really was a party! then we set off to our honeymoon in park city, but not before running under a tunnel of sparklers.
